Projectlifeworld begins as a creative space dedicated to representing the collected works of Jim MacDonald and Pierre Ouellet as well as those of several of their friends – collaborators and colleagues across media and aesthetic experiences.

In a rethinking of the prevailing market model for such content, projectlifeworld inverts the dominant commercial paradigm so that sharing of the works become more important than their commercial exploitation. To this end – listeners, readers and other

members of our community can download a variety of free material while complete projects and the material versions of these as CDs, DVDs and books are available for a reasonable fee through the usual distribution channels.

Lifeworldsound

Lifeworldsound is the sound and music production space for the Lifeworld Project. It contains a wide range of musical projects, from Semiotek’s Brave the New World, the musical collaborations of Jim MacDonald and Pierre Ouellet Elemental Spirits and Living Memory to the the Codec 13 projects as well as the Interspecies Music recordings Whalescapes and Northern Whales. MORE

Lifeworldimage is the home of a series of art documentaries entitled A Second Look as well as a  other films, including Territories, a Picture This Production and the Box, a film for Claire Ouellet.

A number of other short films are also currently in pre-production for completion in 2019-2020. MORE

Lifeworldtext

Lifeworldtext & E-Publishing began by creating e-books to showcase the art in the documentary series A Second Look. In this series, there are four titles available to date. Two other books, Down the Organization by M. V. Ouellet and Sign-Language, poetry by Pierre Ouellet are also available at this time. MORE
